I'm waiting on a mini 3PDT switch for the onboard TS, (got a DPDT but forgot about switching the LED ) should have been here today, but I think the snowstorm scared the UPS guy. Then put it all together, do the nut, make some noise...

Yes, I have the pickups made. Bridge pup is 6.19Kohms, Middle is 5.82Kohms, and the Neck is 6.01Kohms. I also made the magnets closer together on the neck pup, matching it to the string spacing. It'll have one of Waldo's UGBs and an onboard modded TS clone. The first pickguard has large holes and slots so I can move the pups around, see how big a difference placement makes. I'll make another one with proper holes later.

I see that its shielded ,so it must be for electronics ?
What goes in there ?
Are you gonna cap it off with something ?

I see, yes you are right... Although it's not really inlaid as much as stuff glued on a brass plate to cover the hole. I'm not especially happy with my plate design (looked better on paper), but before I make a new one, I just want to see what it sounds like! I'm just finishing the plate today/tomorrow and I'll post a pic of the whole thing... I should get the switch this morning to finish up the electronics. I'm not sure I like the looks of the electronics access there either, but what the hell, you never know til you build it! And I wanted to try having on-board effects... If I do it again like this, I'll elongate the body a bit, make the hole just a bit smaller, and put in a tail piece/bridge instead of the wrap-around. There's another one already on the way...

You seem real with it with the tools and stuff - why did you go for the bolt on as compared to neck thru ?
Just not as complicated ?

It was for a couple of reasons... mainly I found some really wide Cherry and Maple, and wanted to try a one-piece core (no glue joints), and I wanted to try out the press I made. And I had the neck, which I really like, and I've been loving the early '70s tones from Jerry. That's my favorite period, '69 to '78... Right now I'm using a Strat Clone with a Stratoblaster in it, and I really like it. Also, I thought I'd get a bit more of the dreaded learning curve out of the way, and get my feet wet again, before I continue with a neck thru. It's been 8 or 9 years since I last did any nice woodworking like this. I actually started out intending to go straight to the neck thru, but changed my mind when I started picking thru the wood pile. The wood for the next has been sitting, drying, aging, for a year now, so as soon as this one is finished, it's on to that one. It will be my take on the Wolf idea...

Just got the switch, it fits! Won't have to alter the cavity, so now I can finish!
