The amp alone will give you a very similar tone, but I wouldn't expect to get the bite that Jerry got. I set mine, volume 3, treb 4, mid 7, bass 3, reverb 3 1/2. I mic it if I need it louder for anything other than practice. A mighty nice amp in my opinion.
