O.K. Here are a few ideas I use for the Bobby segments of the China>Rider transition.
These can also be transposed and used for your various and sundrie rhythm type fill/accent needs.

May I add another D7 shape Bobby uses:

e--8--
b--7--
g--7--
d--7--

I hear him omit the A and play it like this:

e--8--
b--7--
g--7--
d-----

FYI on background - It's fairly common practice to drop 1s and 5s when playing in a band with multiple midrange instruments. I'm sure you know this, Pete, just saying for others who may not!

Listen carefully in guitar-heavy blues jams and if it's good you'll hear one of the guitarists only playing th 3&7.

Very nice, Pete. Very nice, indeed.

Really like that 9th fret bassy D7 chord. That's new to me. (t = 34-sec)

For your C D G jam, I don't bother with the G chord, I just hammer on the pinky on that G note off of the C chord and finess it with some upstrokes to catch the e and B strings.

And, LOL, your D7 (t = 2:17), I had been getting by with an open-D-shaped C chord at the 12th fret, really punctuating the C note. Your D7 is spot on, I'll have to incorporate it.

I don't work on my Booby stuff any more, but the China Cat >> Rider transition requires a Bobby part to get me through the solo acoustic effort.

Thanks for the kind comments, friends.
I have a few other "Bobby bends" I'll add later this week. I can kick in a few Jerryism's too, as he plays at least one common 'Rider solo right out of the D-shape (for the D and C chords), and the G-shape for the G (barre'ing the 12th fret with your index finger).
