All the beer talk is getting me thirsty.
This is what I like right now :
Anchor Steam mixed with Guinness.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
I used to be way into the Hoppy beers(Sierra,Rogue,etc.)
But in the last year I've developed a taste for smooth beer.
Anyone else have any beer drinks like my Black and Tan?

I used to be a big fan of stouts, like the Sam Adams Cream Stout (back when SA was a real micobrew).

Now I prefer a good English Ale, even wife is from Germany and she thinks I'm a traitor...

Rolling Rock, New Castle, Leinenkugel original (dont know if anyone outside of Wisconsin knows what that is) - Miller just baught it.

As far as mixtures go, The Storm King Stout from Victory mixes nicely with the Gordon from Oskar Blue's. For some reason I've been a lot into mixing recently, generally imperial stouts with double ipas.

There is one mixture though that is quite possibly the greatest ever: Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout (~18%) and Dogfish 120 Minute IPA (~21%). It truly is incredible. Only downside is that it is about $10 per bottle. But well worth it!

as a poor student i often drink beast, pbr, high life, or old style, but i enjoy other stuff too.

=spatten-original and optimator. just had boots of the stuff at the local essenhaus

I am a devotee of the almighty hop; my latest MAJOR discovery:

West Coast I.P.A. from Green Flash Brewing Co., San Diego, CA

as ultra-HOPPY as anything I've ever tasted... such a fresh explosion of taste! this could be the one.

my "old" mega-hoppy favorites:
Two-Hearted Ale, Bell's Brewing-MI (can't get it on the west coast )
Hop Ottin', Anderson Valley Brewing-Mendocino,CA
IPA, Lagunitas Brewing-Sonoma,CA
IPA, Stone Brewing-San Diego,CA
Terminal Gravity- Enterprise, OR
Pelican IPA, from a small remote brewpub right on the Oregon coast at Pacific City
and of course Hammerhead ales at our local McMenamin's brewpub chain, which includes the Crystal Ballroom.

Lately I've been getting into the maltier flavor of Rogue Ales "Dead Guy"

east of the mississippi = Bell's (Oberon is the best)
west of the mississippi = deschuete's (I like em all).

but I have to say, I am going to get a guiness and anchor steam to try that tasty sounding drink.

What totally blows is you can't get Bell's if you live in Illinois! Discovered that on my last two visits, last year and this... but you can find it in WI!

i read somewhere that they are starting to introduce bell's at a few bars in chicago. doesn't concern me to much though as i'm in wisco too

Not to sound pompous, but a true Black and Tan is Harp and Guiness.
As far as tastey brews are concerned,

Warsteiner (in my opinion the best beer sold in the US)
Duval
Duval (very potent, pours like an erupting volcano)
