The other night, while returning from a cruise in the car with several of my friends, I heard a version of scarlet begonias that sounded like there was a marimba part at the beginning. I remember enjoying it immensely, and I think it was a minute or two long, but I haven't had a chance to ask my friend who put it in the cd player where it was from. In any case, it was really neat...

Does anybody happen to know of a version that might have a marimba or something of the like in the beginning of the song?

I'll ask him where it's from and let yall know

here i am responding to a post that almost 3 years old, ah well. the Scarlet your talkin about is from dicks picks 6 Hartford Civic Center 10/14/83

it sounds like a marimba, but i think its just Brent messin around on his keys. this is a less than stellar pick for the series, i bought it used and i dont listen to it often 8)
