Don't have a link to it but if you want the real deal then get Traffic's "Welcome to Canteen" album or CD or whatever you call those things. Amazing version of Dear Mr. Fantasy on that.

which dead album was this on? I hear its only on one. The one I heard was So goddamn smokingly good, but I dont where it was from and it would be nice to hear it again........

ALSO - there's a REALLY neat version on the CSN box set. They add in a few more verses (the lyrics are okay, not stellar, but okay), but it's a pretty cool arrangement! :cool:

I dunno...

I don't think much beats Brent's raspy singing of fantasy on 07/89 at alpine... it's just fucking sweet and the crowd goes wild. That performance is actually one of my favorites by the dead.

Loved when the Dead played this song! For another take, though, check out Crossroads from last year with Clapton and Winwood doing this song. It's rather impressive as well!
