I have one in superb condition - looks new. It' was made in Japan.

If interested, PM me.

I'm also selling some other vintage effects:

- Ibanez AF9
- Maxon AF9
- Ibanez PT9
- Some TS9's (one is from '83 with a silver label)
- Ibanez CP9

Plus a new reissue TS808 and more.

Out of curiosity, have you noticed any tonal difference between the Ibanez AF9 and the Maxon AF9? I had the Ibanez one and while it was fantastic for single note runs, the decay time was too quick for chords.

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question w/out testing. I purchased them years ago and barely used them as I'm a Bobby.

My recollection is that depending on the pickups, you may need to front-end the AF9 with a boost or compressor or something else to get the desired response.

I just performed an A/B comparison of the AF9 pedals. I used a Strat clone with a significant boost before the AF9.

Both pedals worked well with single notes and chords. However, the Ibanez had more high frequency tones and sometimes sounded thin/brittle, especially in the HP Filter setting. The Maxon had a more full/rounded sound and was more pleasing to my ear. Even on the bridge pickup, the Maxon wasn't harsh.

Here's a decent demo:
