I used to have a company called "Nickel & Nail Productions". One of the first shows I promoted was Bobby "Blue" Bland. He was a very classy guy. About the second song in, he stopped the show, and said, "wait a minute here. These people paid good money ($10!) to see this show. Let's get the sound right!" and proceeded to tell the sound man how to adjust. I appreciated the fact that he cared. I lost money on the show (@$21,000), but it was a very good show. Feb. 14, 1997. Rest in Peace, Mr. Bland!!
Gone are the days we stopped to decide where we should go, we just ride...

Our old bassist toured with him for most of a year. I've got the P-Bass he played when he was with him.
