I'm in the process of getting a smaller cab, and a tube power amp (P.S... Anyone dig the Carvin TS100 w/6L6's? ), but here she is, basically how she stands today.

Does anyone else who uses an iPad get a very extruded picture that looks like its being stretched in a black hole? Maybe a photobucket issue. Something in the jpeg data and the height info seems missing or flawed. I've seen this before but it's only been on that Dallek guys posts. Strange.

Ya I'm getting the stretch armstrong thing as well. Eric's photos are not viewable or anything posts below them on my iphone, but they view fine on the computer. I don't know what the deal is.

I just got the 5U rack/head box in and got it mounted up today. The MC250 mounting seems to be really solid and tight. If you use the method I showed photos of above make sure you use sandpaper on the metal before using adhesive. I ended up using JB weld after the metal epoxy failed (maybe because I didn't sand the metal first).



I mounted the feet closer than normal so i can sit it on my speaker cab if needed. The right side of the Mac has a wood block between the Mac and the right head wall to give a little more support for carrying this one handed with the left handle like a suitcase.


Here's my whole set-up. It's not a pure Jerry setup, but I'm loving it.

ccw - have you had any overheating issues? I accidentally left a mic case on top of my MC2100 at a gig and it overheated and shut down. It was fine after I took the case off and turned the amp off for set break. I was wondering if you've had any issues with the SMS sitting right on top.

I don't think overheating is going to be an issue. I thought about going with a 6u space at first for that reason. The 5u gives me about 1/4" or a little less clearance above the Mac. With the SMS being so shallow though, the vented part of the Mc 250 top is mostly clear above it. The 2100 is configured a little different though so it may be an issue unless you mount it the other way or give it some room on top. I just got it setup yesterday and we practiced for about 2 1/2 hours last night with no issues.

Here's my current rig. I've cobbled together a "shock mount" rack for the Mc250 which consists of a couple pieces of hardwood flooring and some foam padding that I've wrapped with black duct tape. I have some bolts going down though the bottom of the Mc housing screwed to the wood and piercing into the foam pad to keep it secure. The pad is also velcro'd to the bottom of the rack...it really works out quite well.


1x12 with E120 and 2x12 with K120's. The PRS has Waldo's buffer, OBEL, and DAllen Voodoo pups, but I'm eagerly awaiting an AO Wolf that's currently being built.


Just got the MuIII calibrated by LSound...sounds nice.
You'll notice in Wisconsin we use hockey pucks to tilt our speaker cabinets back
