MORIARTY WOLF 4-sale!

Looking to sell my Moriarty Wolf. Probably the best guitar I'va ever played. Excellent condition with a couple small/minor dings. I think he sells them for $8,500 now. Looking to get $7,000. I can ship it to him and have it tuned up and inspected if you like. Here is a photo:

a couple things:
mine has the Irwin eagle logo which Matt won't do anymore out of respect for Mr. Irwin I believe.
Finally, he puts a real cool brass name plate on the back of the headstock which is attached with two brass screws. Mine says my last name and the number: "Ruklick #05". I'd like to send the guitar to Matt to have him change the name plate and to go over the guitar like I mentioned. I haven't spoken to him about this, but he is GREAT to work with and I don't fore-see him having an issue with doing so. I alredy mentioned to him tht I may be selling this guitar, so he is aware.
One last thing... I have painted my last name on the case using those block letter stencils. I doubt he would have a problem selling us a new case at a reasonable price if you don't want my case although it is "as new" except for the name being painted on it.

Dude, isn't this the one with the story of how it got stolen and then you got it back? How can you sell it? Sell some amps if you really need the money (unless you got another Moriarty Wolf on the way or something).

Yeah that's the one that was stolen and recovered.
I didn't know prices had gone up that much - Matt's website says $6800, but maybe that's for a '73/ '74 version.

Ruk, Don't sell it!!! Sell some other of your awesome stuff instead. After being stolen and recovered it seems that this guitar is supposed to be with you.

I know everybody has their personal circumstances, but that Wolf, considering the stolen recovered history, seems to be "yours". Looks gorgeous. I would sell everything else I owned.

The stolen/recovered history is an amazing story in itself, I remember the thread, amazing.

Yes, this is the one that was stolen and recovered!!! Theory was that perhaps the guy that returned it had something to do with the theft and was stuck with it because he had no way of selling such a unique guitar. My flickr site had the photo and info with my phone number and offering a reward. The guy said that he googled the guitar info and ended up at my photo page with the reward offer and my phone number.
I know that I should keep it. I am having Matt build me a custom right now and would like to get that one paid off. Then some daay down the line get a Tiger from him.
I spoke to Matt yesterday and he told me that he only built 5 or 6 with the Irwin eagle logo and that he has been regularly offered an extra $1,000, or $8,000, to build them with that logo. But he won't do it out of respect for Irwin. That's pretty cool and it shows the integrity that goes into this guy's builds.
So anyways, that's the deal. I have a HUGE vintage gear collection and I have been selling off much of it. My guitars just don't get the attention they deserve, sadly. With the custom I'm getting from him, I think I will still have one very special guitar.
