Dead On Live at pvt party in PA. Based on the material recorded in 71 - 72. We do, in general, note for note recreations of the records, tempos, chord changes, vocal harmonies, Phil's bass, piano, gtrs, etc. Sorta crazy but a blast to play in this way. Plenty of jamming and improvising in our shows though too, while still tipping our hats and remaining faithfull to the Dead's individual styles. This show is myself (Shania Twain, Bruce Springsteen) Tom Circosta (Zen Tricksters, Jam Stampede) Joe Chirco (Donna Jean Godchaux, Dave Nelson Band) Sandy Mack (nailing Pigpen), Paul Avrutin (nailing Phil) and Carl Gentry (all Keith's piano parts). Thanks for listening.

9/19/12, Cambridge Inn, Spotswood, NJ

After Midnight, She Belongs To Me, Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out, Dark Hollow, Feel A Whole Lot Better, Take Me To The River, West L.A. Fadeaway, My Back Pages, Romeo and Juliet, Friend of the Devil, Dead Flowers, Mary Jane’s Last Dance, Into the Mystic, Jack Straw, Layla, Me & Julio, The Weight, Bertha

I was the "showcase" performer for open mic night but only 1 other person showed up to play so I got some extra time at the end to do a few extra tunes.

The guy who runs the open mic also did a set and I got to sit in with him - we did Folsom Prison Blues, On The Road Again (Willie), Blue Bayou, and about 4 or 5 others I can't remember.
