You are correct. That's him for sure. One of the guys I play with on occasion has recorded and plays with his brother David, also in Beau Soleil. I've seen them a couple of times, great band.

According to Wiki, CNN was launched in June of 1980. I knew it went back to at least summer 1982, because we that was when he first got cable TV, and CNN was already part of the "basic" package.
