ISO Twin Reverb Cabnet

ISO Twin Reverb Cabnet

Postby Capt Rosebuddy » Fri Oct 12, 2012 7:46 am

Fellas,
I'm looking for a cab to load my twin and JBL's into. I'm downsizing my rig, and I'd like to see what it's like having Garcia in a combo setup. Also I'm running out of space. My Twin chassis is a '71 silverface master vol. will any cab from any year do?

Advance thanks.

I think the twins were pretty darn consistent in the sf era. I've had mojotone build me a head cab and a full cab and they never asked for dimensions. That said, they are fairly tight tolerance and one of the chassis had a slight warp or bend to it and it's tougher to remove (but easy to put back in).

You and me both, man. A few gigs ago, one of my bandmates was unloading my SF Twin from the van, and dropped it. The amp itself is fine, fired right up, but the cabinet split at the top/side joint. I was able to find what I thought would work as a replacement cab (a red knob era cab for a Fender Pro or something) but alas, it didn't work. Just a bit too shallow. I've been searching around, and so far this looks like the best bet.

I will soon have an original 67 twin reverb cabinet with beefed up front panel (for jbl speakers) very soon! I am getting a custom cab built. If you can wait a couple of weeks I will have the original cab for sale. It has no tolex on it (i like the weathered look of it) but it is solid.
