Intro: All in E

g
d---2-----------2------2---
a-------2-2h4-2----2h4---
e-0--0-----------0-------0----

In tabbing this out I had to narrow down to a somewhat generic interpretation. I had a number of slight alterations not mentioned.

The following is a starting point for those wanting to explore the end portion where Jerry would sing the notes that he was playing. This is also an excellent excercise for internalizing blues intervals. To keep it simple I'm not going to show bends. You put them where they fit for you.

Blues pen. in E: E G A B D

I'm not sure if they're Whoa's or Oh's or both-I'm using Oh's. An "Oh" over each note up to the "Nothings gonna.." part. To make it easier (for me) start with "Nothings.." on the 3rd 14 on D. It gets 2 notes. "Gonna" gets the next 2, "Bring" 1 note "Him" 1 note and "Back" the last four.

--Oh---------------------------Nothings---
e
b
g--------------------12------------------------------------
d------12---14-12-------14---14-14-12---12-14------------
a---14---14-------14------------------14------12-10---10--
e---------------------------------------------------12----

Of course vocal range limitations come into play - but falsetto is allowed.

One more. Same as above for cadence. "Nothing" 2 notes etc.

--Oh-------------------------Nothings---
e----------------------------------12
b----------------------------12-15---15-12
g------------------12----------------------14-12-14-12
d----12---14-12-------14-------------------------------14
a-14---14-------14
e

This is excellent for working on blues improv. Use the above as a starting point. You can really stretch this out.
