I never heard of Frenzel until this thread. Looks like they make some cool amps. I just saw this interesting preamp on the Frenzel site: http://www.frenzeltubeamps.com/page50.php

When I clicked on your link it took me to their Tube Reverb. Did you actually mean? http://www.frenzeltubeamps.com/page17.php

Nope. I meant the Tube Reverb. It's actually a Fender tube preamp plus reverb. According to the guys at Frenzel:

"We do use the .022 tone stack caps. The JF-6G15 can be used on the Input of an amp or in the effects loop Return jackof an amp. When used on the Return jack just before the phase inverter driver, it will give the tones as the Super Deluxe with the Reverb upgrade."

They also use 2x.022 tone caps for the bass and mids (instead of the .1 and .047).

Looks like I will be powering my Pre Amp with a mosValve MV-962 ... looking forward to hearing what it will sound like w/ the Webers ...

Glad it arrived safely. Leave it on for a week or two when you get back home from rehearsal. It'll sound better after the cap's and tubes have had time to settle in. Play it a LOT. Keep us posted on your experience with the pre...

Got mine about a month ago, and just now am I pulling myself away from my rig to thank you! It sounds KILLER. I did make the mistake of not practicing with it enough, and played a show with it days after I completed my new rig.. Not something I'd recommend. But after toying with it for a while, I've completely fell in love with this versatile piece of equipment. Especially with a tiny bit of dirt in front (TS9), this thing completely SINGS. I'll pull the trigger on an ED one of these days... Thanks again, Brad!

Took me about 5 minutes to hook the Lil Guy up and get a decent sound - I was sure I would have a steeper learning curve but I just set it up as Brad recommends and tweaked it from there.
Its clean and mean - what more could anyone want ?
1st thing I played was the Uncle Johns intro ..... and it was GOOD !
