In a word, YES. If you are looking for a stand alone amp to get it , totally. That sucker will be heavy so be warned.

Many will remind that Jerry tapped out his pre-amp to use a solid state poweramp, very true but not in the early days and I think that component is only a big deal when on larger stages and when you are really pushing the amp to killer volumes because you can't get your guitar in the monitor and everyone is playing super loud and you are not in the line of sight with your amp.

This is not the amp you are looking for. You definitely should not get this amp. You should definitely forget all about ever seeing this amp on CL. At least long enough for me to drive to NY and snatch it up for myself.

Those JBL's are going to make it heavy...like dead guy heavy. I have a Deluxe with one D120. That's not even fun to carry 10 blocks.

But it'll be cool. And loud!

By 68 (which I believe it is due to the drip edge) the Twins and Dual Showmans were already fitted with the suppression caps and resistors over the poweramp tubes. A decent tech can have that undone and tuned up in under an hour and we all know how important it is to take used amps to techs before the stage!

I don't know why you'd want that thing. It's only the holy grail of Jerry tone. Can be used as an amp, a preamp, JBL's are worth $500 by themselves. Seriously, everything about that is desirable, even if it needs a little bit of work. It's the shit. The price is insane. Steal it while you can. Someone's gonna score big time.
