Kier, that guitar is just plain SEXY. I want it. I don't care if your married to it, I would try my best to get her to go home with me! Nice Cab too! Now the rig is looking authentically complete. I would take that home too.

I think I counted 44 guitars. Might as well get 6 more and make it an even 50. :hail:

Here's a start. '87 US Fender Strat Plus w Gold Lace Sensors->Alembic Stratoblaster in a pedal enclosure->Peterson Strobostomp->Fostex MR-8->MC250 bridged to 100 watt mono->JBL D120 with an aftermarket cone->mic'd with sm57 and fed back out through the crate
I like that I can overdrive the frontend of the recorder/digital preamp with the blaster and get a good overdriven squish through the MC250. Pretty crunchy if I dig into it. A huge plus of the MC250 is that I can use it as a awesome sounding pa/stereo rig. I send the audio out of my dvd or computer through it and can jam along. I also just play music through it for personal enjoyment. Streaming voodoonola's utube channel '93 Knickerbocker arena right now.

Got a few new things since I last posted - I am currently running:
Guitars:
John McKenna custom guitar (Waldo buffer, OBEL, Duncan StagMag pups)
1979 Strat (Duncan Alnico I pups)
1978 Les Paul (Gibson Classic 57 pups)
1989 PRS CE24

Effects:
Hub Bub
Boss Super Octave
HAZ Mutron III
MXR Dynacomp - don't use much
T-Rex Dr Swamp overdrive - best overdrive I've ever used
Boss Hyper Fuzz - falling back in love with this one, I forgot some of the cool sounds I can get from it
Boss Metal Zone - in need of Keely mod - sounds great but a little noisy
Boss Flanger - I've had this since the 80s and still works! I like using it on tunes like Peggy-O
Pigtronix Envelope Phaser - just got this one off eBay cheap. I love the phase shifter and the combined envelope/phase sound but not a huge fan of the envelope filter by itself . . . so far
Lexicon MPX G2 - guitar multi-effects processor - mostly used for delay, I also like the Univibe and chorus effects but use those sparingly (outside the OBEL for now)

Preamps:
SMS CTP with the carbon-film resistors - best gear purchase I have even made
Mesa Boogie V-Twin - a backup, once caught fire and kept working till I smelled it burning, haven't used it in a long time

Power Amps:
Mesa Boogie Mark III - awesome amp, I bought it new in 1987, still rocks
Mosvalve MV962 - Pretty good for an amp I spent less than $150 for I've been gigging with this for a while but am gravitating back to the Boogie until I can get a Mac

*edit*
Speaker cabinet:
Bag End 2x12 ported closed-back cab - awesome sounding cab. I've got a second one that I have cut the back out of that will eventually be the main cabinet but this one sounds great, I'll probably keep them both around
Eminence Commonwealth speakers - still keeping my eyes open for some JBLs but these are really killer sounding

Synth:
Roland GR-33
Shertler Unico biamped acoustic guitar amp (works great for the synth, I've even used it as an emergency PA for my blue grass band.
