Would a K120 be too big for a Fender Pro

I used to use one in a '65 Delux Reverb. Sounded great and no problems for 20 yrs.!

I agree, it will sound great, especially if you like the tone of a JBL. I have an E120 in my Deluxe too, much better than the Celeston GP12, but that sounded good too in its own way I guess. For Jerry tone though, the JBL is a great upgrade. I think my deluxe is 40 watts.

I've run a 1x K120 cab with my Mesa Transatlantic for practice, practices w/drummer, and small gigs.

I've never really considered a minium output wattage to the JBL, but at 6 watts at bedroom volume, it's functioned flawlessly for hours.

If anyone has an idea of the low threshold, I'd love to hear it. I don't want to trash my JBL's, but even at talking volume...they sound awesome.
