Custom JG 80's Effects Rack

ordered and built for a friend of mine in chicago, thought i'd share.

Hey dude! We have to make a plan to hang this summer!
What did you mod in the GCX? I'm guessing: front mod'd to be input only, no other jazz. Hardwired the loops together.

That is super creative. I am curious about the loops too, and how you were able to clean up the ass end of that rats nest. I would be lost if I went back to a pedal board. Would also like to hear about what you're using for an amp these days!!!

no i won't be selling these, this is the only one i plan on putting together. to help you look at how much went into this, the gcx w/switcher, cabinet and custom shelf enclosures are well over a grand alone. this does not include any cabling or misc hardware(jacks, power jacks, power strips etc..)

yes we do! and you are spot on, rerouted the input and output to a front mounted stereo jack, added aN on/off LED and hardwired the loops, but used 12a's in the custom shelf enclosures to keep things flowing with nothing in there jacks. oh, and mounted it to a blank 2 space panel for the look.

i am using an SMS classic into an mc2100 into a 2-12" cab loaded with e120's.
