kicking myself and have to have this ready for a guest vocalist tomorrow... I've got the intro build-up lick down, but WTF is that final chord before they kick into the first verse?

I haven't heard the studio version in years, but from memory it sounds to me something like the Viola opening chord, which is a G7 flat 9. Might not be a G, though, depending what key you're doing it in. Just adds some extra dissonance over everything.
That is also, by the way, the opening single-note-picked chord to Steely Dan's "Don't Take Me Alive." You have to stretch your fingers pretty good to get all six strings on it. Bottom to top: G D G B F B flat
