I plan to go perhaps in early May. It's about 7 hours from No. VA where I live. I have friends in Cleveland I can stay with to cut the costs. It will be my 2nd visit. The first was in 2004 when I was in Ohio for other reasons and took some time to visit the Rock Hall. As for whether it's worth it, it is if you're into museums and artifacts. Some think it's an indication of the aging of rock and us that there's now a "museum" for our music but the wheel keeps turning. FWIW, several friends have given me the same advice regarding my upcoming visit: the one thing to be sure to take in is the 3D film of U2 live. I've been told it's mind-blowingly good.
