A Very Interesting Deconstruction of 'Beautiful Jam'

Postby brutusbuck45 » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:18 am

This is isn't mine- I came across it today by chance. It has very few views so it may not been seen around the board very much. Its a longish video (nearly 20 minutes). The author/player
provides his theories on how the Beautiful Jam (Dark Star 2-18-71) came to be played and strangely why it was never again. He has some good theory discussion about the various modes used in the passage. (BTW: Rusty (Dan)... I also watched your vid regarding the Greek modes and found it to be extremely well done and informative... Kudos to you!)

So here it is... I take no credit- only to pass on this really nice video to you all.

Isn't Bm A also "Tighten Up?"

Although I think there might be some sort of maj7 thing.
