Phase 100 Foot Pedal

So the other thread now has my head spinning in that I would love to control the sweep of my Phase 100 with a Foot pedal. But first I just want to be clear, by sweep are we talking rate of oscillation?

Has anybody done this mod? I have a GGG Phase 100 I built that is just begging to be a guinea pig since it is in pieces already.

Yes, the rate control. Simply use a volume pedal with a pot value that matches the value of the rate pot in the Phase 100 and route the internal pot wires to a TRS jack and send that TRS jack to your control pedal. You're basically just moving the pot elsewhere and letting your foot control the rate.

it seems like a great mod. i'm surprised that nobody has made an upgraded/boutique version of the phase 100. it's such a great phaser to begin with, and an expression pedal option like this would make it really flexible.

someone did sorta, just not all that popular. the NON true Bypass MXR CSP-001 Variphase. i believe that once engaged you must leave your foot on it to keep the rate wanted, when you lift off it rotates either up or down and switches off.

I just emailed with Kevin Wilson from Wilson effects...it turns out that his Liquid Phaser is a Phase 100 clone. I suspect he'd be able to add an expression pedal jack. He makes a bunch of pretty nice pedals, all reasonably priced.

As far as I know this is the only Phase 100 type pedal out there. I don' think the Maxon PH350 was a 10 stage phaser, and it's out of production anyway.

The Maxon has a 4, 6 or 10 stage switch
