Thanks! Thought I would share a favorite reaction to my new toy. I think so far my brother has said it best: "Dude, that rig looks like it was reverse-engineered from alien technology. Sweet." I'm inclined to agree.

no way to put into words just how awesome Moriarty's work is until you have held and played one. congrats, and i see you chose a Hybrid Wolf with peacock and wolf inlay, and raised tailpiece WITH pearl underneath. very unique version there!

It seems stock standard 78/79 wolf from what I can see. the only differencea I can spot are the peacock (Matt doesn't do the eagle anymore anyway) and the upper horn strap button being in the 73-75 position. (and the 80s pickup cover colours if we want to nit-pick).

i like the peacock far better than the eagle - beautiful guitar - and great to finally get a photo that shows some detail of the peacock for those who haven't seen it in the flesh

I was just looking at my pictures again and realizing that they really don't even do justice to how gorgeous the guitar is. There are so many perfect, small touches -- even the peacock really shines so much more to the naked eye than on camera. When I walked into the expo on Saturday and saw the real things sitting out on display I was practically speechless. I think about all I could say to Matt was "dude, that's...well, dude, whoa."

Anyway, mine is pretty close to the hybrid replica in the pix available on Matt's website, with the strap button in the old position as noted.

I'd also like to give a shout out to those who've helped my rig come together. I tried to spread the love a little in putting together the pieces:

- Waldo's buffer in the Wolf
- Andrew Olson for his Wheel junction box and OBEL cables
- Brad Sarno for SMS Classic w/ JG mods
- Tracy at SSP for 1x12 cab

I gotta think I'm in good shape for a while on the gear front!

black t-shirt has definitely crept into my non-work wardrobe as a hallmark of efficiency in apparel!

Guitar is no lightweight: My not perfectly reliable scale indicates 11 pounds.
