Dating JBL's?

Dating JBL's?

Am I correct in understanding that there is no "code" to date JBL's by serial number? They are just random numbers, and the actual dates for them were lost in a fire.

I did`nt know you where a "playa" Strummy. I thought that was a Jersey thing.
