Tiger Strap Buttons?

Any current source for these with Jack o Roses gone? Anyone have a pair? (of strap buttons that is...)

I would think a set of brass strap buttons wouldn't be too hard to find.

Buy gold ones and strip the plating off, maybe? Shouldn't be too hard, gold plating comes off if you look at it wrong. Leaving it overnight in something acidic like OJ or Coca-Cola might work.

I have two sets that are "OK":

no, those are not the ones in the photo's. those are actually just your standard gold button, and you can have them if you want those. just let me know.

kinda bringing back an oldish thread, but I just saw these and was kinda surprised how much they look like the Tiger buttons (which im pretty sure were Alembic strap buttons right?)

I'm not telling anyone else what to do but I'd double face palm myself if I'd passed on locking strap buttons for my custom one-off Tiger on the grounds that Jerry didn't use those.

Thanks jerry1996x- I bought a set. I've looked at those older Gibson styles before, but these look closer than most. I'm guessing Irwin used an older Gibson style on Tiger.

Jon- My Phiga came with straplocks, but #1- I just don't like the look, and that's part of what I'm after (for better or for worse). #2- if I were playing slash metal and jumping around the stage I might consider that straplocks would be worth it, but most of my playing is sitting at home playing with no strap at all.
