E120 Load?

So if I wanted to put an E120 in my 15 watt Fender Champ 12, would the speaker have any problem being driven? Just looking for the classic sound at low volumes/practice levels. I know it would prefer a zillion watts, but.. issues?

Load usually refers to the impedance. Assuming a proper match, say 8ohms out and 8ohm speaker, there is no problem.

My bad- as soon as I submitted I knew that was the wrong term. I guess I mean power or wattage. Will a high wattage speaker like that be severely under-driven in a 15 watt amp?

yes, 15 watts will not allow the speaker to push its mid and low frequncies as well. so the result will be on the crispy, high end side.

Rats, that's what I feared. Suggestions for a 12", 15ish watt speaker that will get close?

I would consider a 25 watt Weber JBL voiced speaker.

I have the exact same question/dilemma. Right now I am using the super champ xd with a spare E120. While it sounds pretty good I am wondering what I am missing, It is a little crispy on the high end. What specific Weber speaker model would you recommend for this 15 watt amp. I am also looking at the Jensens I am using it mostly for smaller venues/jams when I don't feel like hauling my Mac 2100/dual showman/2 JBL e120's around.
