Good seeing you too, Jon! Twice in the space of a week... next time let's do it with guitars!
To answer a few of the questions...
John was playing with his local DC band, called - simply enough - John K Band. The lineup is:
John Kadlecik - guitar, vocal
Scott Fitzpatrick - drums
Katy Gaughan - percussion
Paul Grepps - keyboards
Larry Joseloff - bass
Plus, they had a bunch of Katy's (who is John's wife and has a killer local band of her own called Djesben) percussion freak friends sit in. Big fun!
Their setlist was: John K Band - Dec 11, 2010:
1: Nobody Told Me, Tin Roof Shack, What's Become of Mary, Any Road, Way to Go Home, TWLWMYD*, Cleaning Windows*, Feel Like Dynamite*
2: How Sweet It Is*, Sister Smiles, Seen Love, The Business, Women are Smarter, Last Fair Deal Goin' Down, Thus Spoke Zarathustra> Drums+> Walking in Your Footsteps+, Fast Enough for You, Second That Emotion
E: Everybody's Trying+

I'll have the audio posted tonight sometime, but suffice to say that this is John doing things on his own schedule and it's a ton of fun, great great music. There's video on Youtube, but the sound isn't all that great.
As for sounding like Jerry... John's found a tone he's comfortable with and has expanded considerably on it. At times he's Trey-like too, but the overall evaluation has to be that he's just John being John... which is some wicked good shit.
