I do intend to tinker with speaker emulations someday, but getting as specific as a D120 mic'd by a SM57 is pretty unrealistic of an expectation without doing digital modeling. My intent is always that this thing drives a real power amp into a real speaker.

NICE WORK!! this is exactly what most "just want", but carry a bunch of extra poundage, myself included, getting it around and you put it into a one space rack unit! i know you have enough on your plate now! but how about a scaled down solidstate mc2300 clone mated with the classic, in a combo, with choice of speakers! just kidding, but a man can dream, right?

You're missing an opportunity if you don't make some kind of arrangement with a power amp builder so that you can offer to sell the power amp as well.

I'd love to try one ... and A/B/C/D it in my studio with a preamped 73 Twin, GT Trio and Egnater M4 with the Twin/Deluxe module (my current preamp of choice) with the Tiger, Real Tube Reverb, Focus 2R power amp and 2X12 E120 cab. I have a pair of K-110s in here now, too.

But I'm afraid I'll like it too much and buy it!

I'm fairly happy with the Egnater now ... http://playingdead.net/cumberland.html ... but I'm a restless man when it comes to gear. As we all know.

Hey Brad! Good to know! When you do I'll happily mail you a deposit! I only chose that arrangement as it's what I think of as the "mecca" of a real mic'd Twin at a show!

That would be phenomenal!!!! My suggestion was more in-line with what would be palatable to the masses. But those in the "know" would DEFINITELY prefer the Senn421!!!

What's wrong with mic'ing a real speaker with a real mic? Is this for in-ear direct use with no stage volume?
