Wow...thank you guys all for the kind words.

I'm really happy you guys like how it sounds. It's fun to play this music, but it's magic when it matters to someone else.

Thank you all.

My current rig:

Modified Gibson SG, the magic ingredient being Mr Wald's splendid preamp. Guitar has Dimarzio Super Distortion pickups, all tapped, and an OBEL.
Running it through a Quilter Micropro Mach II head, Eminence commonwealth single 12" speaker in a cab I made. Hardly any effects. MXR phase 100, MXR analog delay, MXR distortion+, and that's it.

Thanks again everyone, and enjoy the tunes.

Wow! You guys are making some beautiful music and just nailing it. Your playing and tone is outstanding, as is the rest of the band. You all definitely have the authentic JGB feel.

You sound fantastic. Love that tone and have been eyeing those Quilter heads for a while. Out of curiosity when you chose the Micropro did you try or compare it to any other models like the Steelaire?

Thank you ac4468, much appreciated. I did not try the Steelaire. The only other Quilter I've played was the mini 101. Thing is really cool, VERY small. My hope was to pick one up for fly dates, but I just couldn't get enough EQ out of it. Not enough high end for my taste, and I didn't want to add an EQ pedal to the small fly rig I use.

I still remind folks that a lot of that tone is in the guitar and the speaker for sure...

Thanks again for the kind words
