Just goes to prove you can pretty much pick up any old guitar and sound just like Jerry..... as long as you're Jerry. Astounding.

would it still be jerry if he wore a tutu and high heels? what if he was in an astronauts suit? would it still be jerry? some will see jerry no matter what he wore. but some would look funny at him and know something doesn't look right if he did wear the above. no matter what he wore it would be jerry. point is, no matter what "other" gear jerry used it will ALWAYS sound like jerry, because it is jerry. even though it is jerry, that awesome sunshine daydream video guitar tone he gets from that strat sounds NOTHING like the tone he gets from tiger, rosebud, wolf or bolt. I don't know about extensive, but probably a step out of ones comfort zone or personal taste may help open ones eyes to the reasoning behind why he used what he used. it is a fact to sound like jerry you must think and play like jerry did with a guitar, but it is also a fact that his gear played a small part in his tone as well. the easy part is the gear, the hard part is playing like him.
