Europe 72 and Wolf Waldo help me here

Speaking of Europe 72 and the Alligator....Do we know whether or not the strat had a blaster in it by the time they went to Europe or was that a later addition?? I know the pickguard was repaird with the brass plate just so it could be played but was a preamp present at that point already??

By far my favorite Jerry Tone and period in regard to his chops....nasty
