Any evidence Jerry ever used the 2 and 4 positions on the 5-way?

Going back, there were tunes played on the 'gator that sound like they used in- between positions (think mr. Charlie, eg.).

At that same Shoreline show, Jerry plays "Ramble On Rose" in pos. 4, bridge/middle.... "Row Jimmy" too, iirc.

So you MUST play those songs in that position!!

What he plays during the Bobby verses sounds like bridge-middle. 'Not sure about the solo.

how do the in betweens sound on a tiger pickup setup anyways? seems like it'd be a huge difference based on humbucking or single coil modes.

Jerry used those positions more or less frequently. I can't really think of any specific examples, but I know I've heard them (especially the M/B combo) on many recordings.... Dead Set comes to mind, tho I can't be certain without going back and listening... I use them pretty regularly myself; candyman, minglewood, OMSN, also my Qtron quacks best in the 2 position... =)
