My new jerrycaster

I am almost finished building my new strat with OBEL and TPC-1, hardtail bridge. Actually I have gigged with it a few times but still have some finishing touches. The OBEL is wired but I have yet to install a second jack (was looking for a double jack plate) and find appropriate cables. Any help much appreciated. I ended up using the Lollar blond pup which sound great. The all important middle pickup has lots of cluck, juicy highs and the bass strings growl nicely. I am planning on switching the bridge pup out for a higher output model.

The body is chambered (swamp ash) from Warmoth, i did the finish, It is very light and resonant (not a 13 pound tiger by any means). The neck is also warmoth (flame maple) very nice. Clearly not an attempt to copy any of jerry's guitars but includes important elements of a few of them. I will post some sound clips eventually.

That is a bad ass finish. The back looks a bit darker, i dunno? maybe just a trick of the light.

I really like the blue and the blond and the ash has great grain patterns.

Thanks, i really enjoyed doing it, my first dye job. Up close you can see the imperfections in the dye, and lacquer. I could have spent more time on it but I figure the flaws give it character and the thing plays and sounds really great, very lively. I think I gotta sell my other strat so I can build another, maybe more Tiger like, or maybe a Tele for my kid.
