I nailed it the other night.
MIM Strat with Seymour Duncan Everything set through a 57ish Tweed Deluxe through a MOD speaker in some random 50s cabinet. The tone is dead on. Chords are still sounding like Neil Young, but single lines sing out.

Scored an SG Standard today for 600 dollars. It is pristine. I am getting closer to the AOTS and Live Dead sound I bonded. with so many years ago.
