JonnyBoy, are you using the GE-7 before the envelope filter or after it? Also, are you using a GE-7 that's had the "sniper" mod done to it? It's supposed to dramatically lessen the GE-7's inherent noise by swapping out some of the cheaper & noisier internal components for audiophile versions.

I use it before. It can help give boost to the signal and tame peaks if you have a speaker that doesn't play well with it. No mods I don't use to boost freq mostly to cut and then make it up with a slight nudge with the level. If used like that u avoid the noise issues. Haven't tried it in the qtrons built in fx loop either.
