Hi folks,
I am a total noob to this site so a big howdy!
I have a Fender Princeton Reverb amp from the 70s at some point. I have researched it but have not found much. Silverface, a '010390F' on the tube chart and a sticker on the back with 'P 702501'. Bought when I was 16 (in 1980) one year after seeing my first GD show in Charlotte.
I also have a 1988 US Strat, serial 'e813544' (tobacco sunburst, maple neck/fret same piece).
I love playin this rig and love the 70s Jerry strat sound. The question for you elders on gear and such is what fixes might I pull on this set up to 'Jerry it Up' a bit. Already has some good qualities. But I mean like: should I replace the Fender speaker with the JBL? replace any pickups on the guitar? what strings to use? what effects? etc.? I already use a Boss Super Octave OC-3 which is fun.
Any ideas or other fellowship would be grately appreciated.
Yours humbly,
Pokey
