Hey Dammit...what about that somber melancholy reminiscing...dammit. JD...I was at those '93 Autzen shows...and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the SOTM was the last great moment I'd ever hear. I saw 10 more shows before the end of days, and all were ...sad. I did get to see 120 (-/+) between then & 1981, do I do feel fortunate. It wasn't until the last 6 or 7 years that the tone search was working it's mojo on me. I just knew I loved it...those long stands at the Garden...the Silly Rectum...Da War Memorials...Saratoga...Hampton Coliseum....

Its been talked about, but I don't think the question has ever been asked, what is with capitalizing the first letter of 70-90% of words in a sentence (fragment)?

Has anyone here ever tried to duplicate Jerry's 93 to 95 era guitar sound? and been sucessfull? I have tried some acoustic simulator pedals but nothing seems to give it that real jerry like tone even with a buffer in my guitar. Any help would be aprecciated.

Pardon for not having read through the full 12-page thread before posting. But of my two J-casters, the one on the left with a pair of Fralin Unbuckers and a Fralin Steel Poled 43 cops the tones you're referencing effortlessly (the one on the right has a Super Distortion in the bridge and pair of Super 2's in the middle and neck and sounds more "traditionally" Jerry). Interestingly, myself, despite all the jokes to the contrary concerning Jerry's late era tone, I prefer the Fralin-loaded axe's tones. Unlike others, though, copping Jerry's exact sound is not my personal highest priority (I'm still shooting merely for copping Jon Silberman's sound ). PM me if a sound clip would be helpful.
