Backupless... damn. I have a good strat and SG but both are stock and with medium to low action. (of course all guitar action feels low to me so what do I know?) Would either of those help?

Sure, one strat coming up. '62 reissue, US made in 1992 or so, with Texas Specials. You can be Jerry Ray Vaughn. :lol:

Newly repaired amp sounded great! Nice and crisp, good pop to the notes, way more Jerry-like. Nice job, RiverRat!
