Herein lies the gear situation...

Guitars:
Guild - Starfire IV (Stock and Killer)
Aria Pro II - RS-600 (Original p/u's... but all new guts: on-board analog delay, active mid-range boost/scoop)
1950's Rickenbacker Lap Steel
I have a couple of other tangential beaters as well, but those are the my main rides...

Amps:
Genz-Benz- Black Pearl 30
Fender - Bandmaster Reverb (with the aluminum drip edge)
a little 5 watt Sears with tone and volume...

Effects:
Lxp-1
MXR analog delay
Q-Tron

That's the current stable of mentionable gear...

Peace-
Benson

Do you use the huge 2x12 Bandmaster cabinet as well? I've got one of those (a '69) FS...

I do have a HUGE 2x12... Huge is the right word for it... the bottom end on that cab is unreal... The cab is pretty beat up for sure. The previous owner refinished the Tolex in burgundy... It has some aftermarket mojotone speakers in it... it's serviceable, but I have been trying to sell the cab ever since I bought it.

I want to build a custom cab and run it with a 8 ohm 15"... Does anyone have experience with that set up?

Peace-
Ben

I've ran my old DSR through a few 15" speakers. Decent results but I favored the 2x12.

Ideally, I like both a 2x12 + 1x15 as long as the 2x12 is getting more power and the 1x15 is more like a complimentary speaker.

However, for my show tonight, I do believe I will be using a 1x15 combo...
