My band's version of Truckin'

Postby philbomb » Tue Jan 22, 2008 2:49 pm

I have been playing music for 10 years, and the band I am currently in, The Wrecker Brothers, did a version of Truckin'. Tell me what all you Dead Head's think!

Yo Dudes!
Dig the Gibsons you guys got...
Drummer singing was cool...
Guess you guys arent Heads?
Was pretty tight. You guys are pretty good.Vocals fit the song nice.
On the part "Lately it Occurs to me"
did you do the B F# B ?
Other then that little quibble it was rock solid.
Keep Rockin'

Glad you enjoyed it. If you want more, we have a <a href="http://www.myspace.com/thewreckerbrothers">MySpace</a>. We also have versions of <a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=KjJ2j7zx7oY">The Weight</a> and <a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=3JibeX94e1M"> Up On Cripple Creek</a> by The Band, and others.

We do:

D..........B........F#
Latley it occours to me
.......Amaj7 ..................... E
What a long strange trip it's been

I do my best to keep the rhythm on bass while singing. I try to keep it simple. When I am not singing I jam the bass out a little more.

Are you sure you want to go with the Bm and the A?

Even the classic songbook lists them as B and Amaj7.

Sets it up a little better for the E. Try it.

Sorry, typo. For some reason I put the m in the wrong place and forgot the maj7!! I now have it fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.
