GD wedding song??

When it doesn't fit anywhere else

GD wedding song??

Postby causebass » Tue Feb 12, 2008 7:37 am

Our former singer Ali is getting married this spring, and just sent me this request...

What Grateful Dead song should be featured at our wedding reception? We're probably only going to play one, so what should it be? Should it be during the dancing or during the dinner part?

all suggestions welcomed

I was about to say 'If I had the world to give"
my uncle played scarlet begonias after dinner at his wedding and the whole place erupted in dancing lol

it was kinda wierd, but kinda cool at the same time haha

Two Souls In Communion

You guys all missed it, HELL IN A BUCKET!!!!

"Maybe you should check out the circus
it just might be your kind of zoo
I can't think of a place that's more perfect
For a person as perfect as you!"

"With her black leather chrome spiked suspenders
Her chair and her whip and her pets"

Let's just say, I think that would send a rather unique message.

Cold rain and snow would be good too, but not until after dinner. For God's sakes, show some decency, this is a WEDDING after all!

Bucket was a great suggestion! Here's my pick for a tongue-in-cheek Robert Hunter song, although it's a ZERO song, not GD:

"Chance In A Million"
"There, in huge black letters, was 'The Grateful Dead'. It just... cancelled my mind out."-Garcia
