Does anybody know if there is a book out on Hunter's life...besides Box Of Rain? I think it be an interesting read.

It sure would be! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hunter_(lyricist) Is a good place to start, and you can find nuggets of information if you read enough of the pages about acid and the counterculture on Wikipedia. For example, Hunter took something like 1500 doses and also turned the rest of the band onto the stuff. I did not know. Another place to look online was posted here awhile ago along with some Jerry pics... Anyone remember what I'm talking about? It's the history of the Mission or something like that. Hunter wrote the liner notes for Garcia (72) and some of his bio inevitably pops up.

I thought no one was interested since there were no replies when I posted at publishing time.

My book is put out by Deadheads for Darfur (want to be a member? poof! you're a member) and it includes works by Hunter (IMHO, the best of all the stories in his "Red Sky Fishing" email series-- I got to choose it, so I picked the one I thought was the best...), John Perry Barlow, Kap'n Ken Babbs, David Dodd, David Gans, Steve Silberman, John Scott and yours truly.

Check it out here: http://stores.lulu.com/deadheadsfordarfur
or ask for more links or info

Hunter's stories are sent out every Thursday to your friendly mailing list members. Join at http://www.hunterarchive.com/files/newj ... _2006.html

I am. I really liked the vampire trilogy a few weeks back.
