Disclaimer: I make and sell Buffers. I also sometimes Modify, Build and sell preamps and amplifiers. My opinions are not intended to be sales pitches. I am a one man shop and prefer to spend time with my wife and family, i work full time on call and love to spend my spare time doing other things. I only make, modify or build things for those that seek them.
Yes, you are right, I am the bass player. And yes, he sure can sing. Fred is a member here, I believe he is on here as Fret Wilkes. Playing with Fred again after a lot of years has been an ear opening experience. To PaulJay, I am not sure what the electronics are in the Strat.
The recording was made with the Zoom, (not sure of the model) with the HD video and the stereo mikes. If you notice, there is a Zoom H2 taped to the mike stand in front of me. The audio from my unit is really very close to what the out front unit sounds like. It is pretty exciting to know that what I hear and play to is so close to what the band sounds like.
As a somewhat unique approach, the drummer is using a single, powered QSC cab in front of us and under one of the PA speakers with a small sub mixer for his drums. The main PA is used for just the vocals with maybe a bit of keys.
I could put up one or two more if anyone is interested
Thanks for checking out the vid and the comments. IMHO this take was just a tad fast.
The Alligator is my homage to Jerry's, but not an exact relpica. It's a MIM FSR Standard body with a Warmoth True Vintage Boatneck. The pickups are all DiMarzio. Neck & Middle are FS-1 and the Bridge is an SDS-1.
The amp is a 68 Twin Reverb loaded with Weber ceramic Californias. I aquired the amp from my buddy and RUKINDer, Jeff Martinson several years ago.
