ebay "Final Value fee"

When it doesn't fit anywhere else

ebay "Final Value fee"

= 9%. OUCH.

Any way around this without scamming? Some folks say to setup an eBay store but don't know about that. I've likely got about a couple dozen more things I want to sell this year so that would meet the requirement but don't want other extra bullshit like taxes, etc..

Any suggestions?

I think they have that completely covered, you can use Craigs list. You're right, you will only have other fees and taxes as an established vendor. Ebay will get theirs, and 9% is high. It should be a flat rate to post anything and everything.

don't forget if you use paypal for payment, they snag another percentage off the top also.

I know, I know. Ridiculous. My sale was for 390 and I'll be lucky to get 300 at the end of the day.

Is this "final Value fee" new?

I havent had anything up on the Bay in a while, but dont remember that.
What sucks is I've got some stuff that needs to go up soon and having 100 dollars taken out of 400 dollars sale seems crazy

It's honestly stopping me from putting up more stuff. I'd rather give it to another musician 10% cheaper than fucking eBay.

speaking of... Gotta goto my thread and drop prices.
