Crazy "The Thrill Is Gone" cover vid on YouTube..

Postby tnbrdsng » Thu Mar 22, 2012 2:55 pm

Saw these guys do this recently in Florida. Check this guy and his Jerry inspired acoustic style. I talked with him quite a bit and apparently he has been pretty much homeless for months and the guy is a beast. He's only in his early 20's and he doesn't even currently own a guitar! He plays the bassist's, who is an instrument collector. He seems completely obsessed with Jerry and his style (naming specific performances of certain tunes from shows that probably predate his parents). They also played a smoking hot "Me And My Uncle" that day with a dark 10 minute bluegrass jam on the front end.

WOW. Anyone know where these guys are playing in April? Specifically if they're gonna be near Wanee?

Apparently they play at that place every week.

This was uploaded just yesterday and it's the same place where I saw them. It's even crazier than the other video!

That is amazing! Will somebody get this guy a banjo?

I suspect that if he played a banjo like that it would spontaneously erupt in flames, creating a fire hazard.

I was in a country band that did Workin Man Blues, but our own arrangement. Pales in comparison to this, however.
