Sweet stuff Chuck, Great solo's too. Is that your new lighting or was that a company you hired to do it?

Couple of clams in there, but it was only our second time playing it . I just love this tune!
Also marks the debut of my vocal attempts.

That's just the two ColorStrips and two ColorStrip minis set to auto color fade, Jon.
Does a really nice job, but I want to get a few spots and some back-lighting as well...

That is the best thing about the dead, it just wouldn't sound cool without the rough edges and the chance taking... That is the point in playing these extremely difficult songs IMO. They are so challenging, attempting them and succeeding at performing them is a huge notch on the bed post IMO. Some of the musicians in our area may have hugely polished 3 chord repetitive blues/rock songs down pat, but they can't deny a successful attempt at JACK STRAW! COME ON! It is such a challenge and rewarding to play (even with subtle clams), which we all have time to time, including JERRY! That was a fantastic performance, well above any mustang sally cover band IMO!!

BTW I am gonna steal your Tie Dye idea, how to you get them hung when you cant use the walls or ceiling to hang them??

We're lucky that this particular club pretty much allows us to drive in nails wherever we want. I'll be getting a truss system for the lights eventually, and we'll hang from that, but in the meantime I would probably put together a PVC frame from which to hang them... not glued together, but rather loose and easy to assemble/take apart for easy transportation...

Good stuff Chuck!

I realize you didn't actually record the video but do you know what was used?

I recnelty picked up a flip camera for my bands gigs. I haven't had the chance to use it yet. I'm hoping we can get vids on youtube easily.

Indeed good stuff from Chuck and the Road.

I used a Casio ZR100 Elxim, I have just recently got this one . I lost my last camera in a drunken mistake, go figure. Meh-ya. {{ I wanted something I could easily travel with and I was familiar with the Casio, just like my last one, even though it was old.}}

I have a little mini tripod a flexible one, works great. It is still new to me and I was just playing about and having a great time and hoping Chuck would like them for what they are worth.

lol! We just had one of those the other night with the ending to That's What Love Will Make You Do -In our defense only the second time we played it - we played it wrong (2 instead of 3 reps of the last to lines of the chorus) but together the first time we played it - no one really noticed - and we didn't discuss it for some reason, probably because we were all together, and wrong - then just about train wreck city the other night! Yikes! Not sure what happened but it sure limped to the finish line. I make light of it but we really should be on top of silly stuff like that.

Nice work though chuck! Sounds good!

I've used my flip keir - the vids I posted a month or so ago were done with it - I had a problem with it shutting off on it's own at one point - mine can get 2hrs and only at 720p - no adjustment possible - I believe most flips are like this. I then did the processing with my mac. YT has pretty good info on how to process for posting in a bunch of formats - figure out what format you're gonna use and the check youtube help for processing specifics for the format you're using - actually I'd check yt first to see what formats they prefer - all aren't accepted. I used I-Movie on my mac which created .mov. You also may have to recharge the battery at some point - between sets?

Here's one of our vids from that gig - I believe the default is 360p so you have to adjust the quality to 720p in the bottom right of the frame - may take a bit to load. Not gonna embed in my man chucks thread! Hope you don't mind the link though!

Bill - "my" thread, lol... but you guys deserve to have your own vid thread! Always love hearing what SBB is up to - I check out everything you post to FB and have loved hearing you guys come together over the past however many months

Paul - seriously can't thank you enough for the vids, and thanks for making the trek to Greenbelt last night. We had a great time, tho we weren't firing on all cylinders all the time... It was actually funny as hell: a couple of the guys (John vox/guitar and Art keys) noticed you recording and were worried.... not about the music, but if you'd catch them picking their nose or something. Post all you like to YT, here or our FB page, man. Love seeing it whether it exposes some weak cheeze or nice jams! We got nothing to hide!

I try to look first to protect the kids out there and on here from some thing embarrassing. Then do some post/video processing to protect the innocent. What is good for The Road is good for All.
Now let me try the U-tub embed, oK with the stuff after the =

sorry for the tv in the corner. amateur stuff.
Cheers

Nice videos Chuck....since I am in Baltimore, I will definately have to get down and see your band. Our Dead band is Better Weather in Bmore. Only get to gig about 4 times a year, but still fun.
