Must be in good condition - no hum, noise, buzz, etc.

You've owned one before, yes? Do you still have a UE-700?

I owned many IVP's, however, all were before I had the guitar. I'm now revisiting items that I thought didn't work. I think the outcome could be different this time around.

Yes, I still have a UE700.

I see one (not two)- thanks.

There's no way I'm spending big bux on this. I remember getting them for less than $100. It's weird how the price fluctuates on these units. No supply = high price.

Very cool! I almost went down this road last year then thought differently. I know you want the legit, real deal, gear, but you may want to consider a channel strip or something of the like. It's really a single channel mixer and some, read many, have instrument voicing which I do believe is exactly what the IVP is. So far I've tried using the Presonus Eureka which was very similar to the IVP (although I didn't care for the IVP) and recently heard a bassist using a JoeMeek (http://www.joemeek.com/sixq3.html#) and it was phenomenal! If I was going down the route I'd likely opt for the JoeMeek.

In my experience the IVP was very prone to noise and sometimes tough to dial in in different rooms. I do believe the para-eq will solve that...

Yeah typo I meant one...I would not pay more than 300 for this unit, I have owned 3 of these and they can be tricky to dial it in. I had one real nice one but I sold it to an rukinder when I got the Trio preamp.

To be more accurate - I just want the sound. How I get it isn't necessarily important. I just try the 'real deal' because I'm ignorant when it comes to other options!

I just watched a JoeMeak SixQ in great condition go for less than $200 locally here on CraigsList. I inquired since it was my other option but too expensive new but a trusted friend said it had a colorful compressor that works will with guitar so I wanted to try it out.

I finally brought mine to a shop to have checked out, and they said it was beyond repair unfortunately. I know the power supply was toast and there were lots of other issues with it. I'm not spending 350 for another that's for sure. I think I paid a hundred for this one
