Mu 3 Clone

Up for sale is a Mu3 clone.

a couple years ago i cloned the Musitronics Mu-Tron III's circuit board. i have one of those completed clones Up For Sale. This particular unit is True Bypassed with a Bright Blue LED. It also has a 9volt charge pump that allows for 1-9volt battery and a Boss Style Negative Tip power supply jack. I used the Hamamatsu P873 which i believe is the Q-trons opto coupler. All tucked into a Hammond style Aluminum Enclosure. While it is not a clone in appearance, it is a true clone sonically.

$200 plus Shipping - all offers will be considered.

I'm curious...you have a 9v connector which is convenient.

Why does the q tron need 24v?...it's a pain in the ass for pedal boards.

all great suggestions! but i don't plan on producing a whole lot of these. although i do have a rack version in the works. i'm also almost done with a stereo Y network box in a 1 space rack panel for all you GCX users and rack mounted effect guys.

I think a rack version would be the hippest! like I said before about the HAZ I dont really mind it but to have a REAL mutron in a rack version..man I'll but 2 just in case!! I will send you the HAZ when your ready to modify for the rack, when I say that I want the clone with the "pretty" face! I know thats lame but its just where I'm at right now.

Wow, if I didn't already have a coupla Mu's I would by one of yours in a minute.
Hey can you do a demo with a perfectly clean sound (sounds like your effect-off sound is pretty gritty/overdriven), and run some scales up around the 12th-15th fret, (specifically the high E-string responce)?

maybe try backing off with the camera- more of a room miking. the picture would be kinda cool, but could sacrifice it for clearer sound.
