Red House question

Red House question

Right now I'm tryin to figure out Hendrix' Red House, it's a standart 12 bar blues, here's the question:

in a standart 12 bar blues it would go like this:
Code: Select all
B
there's a red house over yonder, that's where my baby stays
E
there's a red house over yonder, that's where my baby
     B
stays
F#
I ain't home to see my baby
E                           B     F#
bout a 99 and a one half day

wouldn't it? Or does it go to E at "that's where my baby stays"? normally a blues should by easy to figure out, but I had always problems with red house. thanks for answers

I'd play it like this - based on the versions I've heard.

Code: Select all
B                                E
there's a red house over yonder, that's where my
          B
baby stays
E
there's a red house over yonder, that's where my
          B
baby stays
F#
I ain't home to see my baby
E                           B     F#
bout a 99 and a one half day

Basically,
B - 1 bars
E - 1 bar
B - 2 bar
E - 2 bars
B - 2 bars
F# - 1 bar
E - 1 bar
B - 1.5 bar
F# - 0.5 bar
